“Tina has been amazing to work with! Our puppy needed a lot of work with socialization and a confidence boost. Tina was 100% essential to helping with this aspect of training our puppy! We saw huge improvements after working with Tina. Our pup is now much more comfortable when she encounters other dogs. Tina also gave us some guidance with respect to basic manners for our puppy. We loved that she used positive reinforcement techniques. She was easy to work with, flexible, and easily accessible and responsive to messages. Highly recommend Tina.”

"At her time at the Washington Animal Rescue League, Tina showed her dedication to animals and understanding of dog and cat behavior. Her knowledge and compassion helped her work to rehabilitate both dogs and cats with behavior issues. Her experience as a trainer also extended to helping pet owners build a better relationship with their pets."

"Tina was wonderful with our rescue dog. I learned SO much from her, and our dog loved her! Tina had a way with him that made training fun for him. Before, during and after training sessions, Tina was always so generous in giving numerous training tips and other helpful information about dogs in general. She was also practical, so even though she worked like a magician, she taught us how to do what she was doing. Her love for dogs shines through. I just wish she hadn't moved out of the area -- we really miss her."

“Working with Tina was the best decision we've made as dog owners. I'm not exaggerating when I say she helped our dog overcome certain behaviors better than we could've expected, particularly with separation anxiety and socializing him with other dogs and people.

We are huge fans of Tina's approach to training. She uses positive reinforcement techniques, gave us actionable feedback/activities to practice between training sessions, and was very diligent about following up during the week to answer any questions we had. We would certainly work with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking to train their dog!”

Tina has been a diligent and generous trainer that is helping me to get Benny train for his screening and examination tests to become a therapy dog. Tina has great energy, is knowledgeable, approachable and has a gentle yet effective way of teaching dogs. She uses positive reinforcement techniques that are great for the dog's learning process.Tina is always accessible and has creative ways to improve the dog's behaviors. She is patient and has a lot of experience handling different types of dogs. I am really pleased to recommend her as a great trainer!"

"I was extremely pleased with the dog training services that Tina Zarate provided to our family and to our dog, Penny. Tina took our dog for a weekend-intensive training and boarding session, in which our puppy learned important skills for being a part of a family with young children, including commands like "sit", "down", "come", and "stay." Our (large, high-energy) dog returned home to us as a much calmer, well-behaved dog. As a certified, trained trainer, Tina is extremely knowledgeable in positive training techniques, and used them with our dog. She also taught us many techniques and tricks for games that my young kids can play with the dog. Tina also trained our family - including my 4 and 6 year old daughters. This was important for the whole family to use the same techniques and words with our dog. Tina continues to provide follow-up on our training. We will certainly use Tina again, and we are happy to recommend her to others."
